Cosy at home
Big hoodie, fluffy rug, one lamp on. I could stay in this exact spot for an entire weekend and I have receipts proving it.
Design student, hoodie enthusiast, and a girl who genuinely believes the city looks better from a window at 1am. This is where I keep the small things — rainy afternoons, half-finished sketchbooks, and the playlists that got me through the week. ♡
xoxo, Lena
I built this little corner to keep my favourite things together. It's basically my diary — part sketchbook, part window seat, part very long list of songs I'll never stop playing.
Big hoodie, fluffy rug, one lamp on. I could stay in this exact spot for an entire weekend and I have receipts proving it.
There's a window in my flat that looks straight out over the lights, and I've spent more evenings there than I'd like to admit.
I draw badly and often, always with something loud in my headphones. Half of those pages will never be shown to anyone.
Little stories from an ordinary week, written down before I forget them.
Window seat
There's a window in this flat that ruined me for early nights. I sit there with the lamp off and just watch the lights do their thing.
I found out on my third night here that if you turn the lamp off, the window stops being a window and becomes a whole film. Traffic going somewhere. One office that's always lit even at 2am — I've invented four different lives for whoever works there.
I make tea I don't finish, I pull the hood up because I'm always slightly cold, and I stay far longer than I meant to. It's the only time all day that nothing is asking for my attention, and I've stopped feeling guilty about it.
If you ever text me around this hour, I'm probably right there. Sitting cross-legged, hood up, doing absolutely nothing and enjoying every second.
Lazy days
I had a list. The list had six things on it. I did none of them and I regret exactly nothing about how that went.
It started well. I woke up early, I even said the words 'productive day' out loud to my empty flat. Then I sat down on the rug for a second, and the second turned into four hours.
Somewhere in there I ate cereal for lunch, took approximately forty photos of the same corner because the light kept changing, and rewatched a film I already know by heart. The plaid pyjama trousers never came off. They are undefeated.
I used to feel bad about days like this. Now I think they're the ones that put me back together enough to handle the other six.
Small things
No plans, no news, no drama. Just laundry, deadlines, and a genuinely excellent sandwich on Thursday.
I keep noticing that the weeks I remember fondly are never the eventful ones. This one had nothing in it. I finished a project, I did laundry twice, I walked to the same shop four times because I kept forgetting one thing.
But on Thursday I made a sandwich that was so far beyond what a sandwich needs to be that I actually stopped and thought about it. And on Friday it rained at exactly the moment I got home, which felt personally arranged for me.
That's it. That's the whole week. I'm writing it down because in six months I'll have forgotten it entirely, and I don't want to.
